EOD X.1 for today’s mst file change

DSE has reverted back to its previous format…..Good for all…..It is recommended not to use EOD X.1’s yesterday’s upload………

Better to use the old version : https://xtrator.wordpress.com/2011/06/22/eod-x-1-mst-link-changedupdated/

DSE has changed its mst format today : http://bakweb.dsebd.org/admin-real/mst.txt . They have stopped providing “Open” and “Close” price of index in their mst file!!! Simply amazing and ridiculous step taken by DSE regarding mst format change!!!  It is to be seen yet whether they continue to use this new mst format. If they do then it would be the most ridiculous thing ever! However,I always expect ridiculous stuffs from DSE!!!

Anyway,I have re-created EOD X.1 in order to get the “Open,Close” points of Index. This newly created one gets data correctly so far. This is a temporary solution. I will upload another one with some better solution………

Modified Sectoral CSV generator…..

I just modified the AFL that generates the CSV files and chart for a sector. In the new one,I added the following features :

1. A Folder is created in C: drive in which all CSV will be saved

2. Names of the sectors inside CSV have been added.

3. Modified the date format to match our normal EOD csv files. Now the date format is : MM/DD/YYYY. So,from now on,one can import the sectoral CSVs normally with the Amibroker’s EOD format file.

Now,all csv files will be saved in a Folder in C: drive. The Folder’s name is “00 Sector Data”. And when you open a CSV file, you would see that the sector’s Name is inside the CSV. See the image below of the CSV file generated by the AFL. The CSV file contains Symbol name and normal and correct EOD date format.

TroubleShoot : If you see any problem in Data, just delete the whole “00 Sector Data” folder from C: drive. Close Amibroker. Restart Amibroker. Click on the Sheet of Amibroker in which the Sector AFL is, to generate the CSV files again………………Always keep the “00DSEGEN” symbol selected when you are generating CSV files.

I also added a new sector named “500 Lots”. But I couldn’t finish it. There are some stocks in 500 Lots that are very new,say for example,”Solvochem”, “DACCADYE”,etc. Because there are not a lot of candles in these new stocks, the CSV can’t generate big data files for them. But if one removes them and keep only those that have a year or two candlest,he will get a lot of data…………

You can create as many Sectors as you want on your own with this AFL. Just change the Symbol names according to your selections. Have fun……… :->
